Who Can Visit?

You must be 18 years of age or older and have a picture ID to receive food. The Urban League's goal is to make sure every person looking for food is treated with dignity and respect.

Items Needed for Registration

Bring a valid picture ID when you come. You must be at least 18 years old.

Food & Essentials

The pantry is part of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, which is a member of the St. Louis Area Food Bank and Operation Food Search. This lets the Urban League purchase food at little or no cost for distribution to families in need.

Additional Support

The St. Louis County Division also offers free Employment Services at the same location. Services include resume preparation, interview skills coaching, computer access for online job searches, job search assistance, career counseling, job-readiness training, job referrals, job development, job placement, case management, and post-placement follow-up. The department hosts job fairs that reach over 5,000 residents per year, featuring nearly 100 St. Louis area employers. You can call (314) 388-9840 for more information.

Donations benefit Urban League clients in need, including those in the 100 Neediest Cases program. The Urban League also gratefully accepts clothing donations for its Clothes Closet from individuals, corporations, and local organizations.

The Urban League welcomes volunteers of all kinds, including individuals, corporate teams, families, youth, retirees, college students, and more. Volunteers distribute food in the food pantries, mentor at-risk youth, and support programs across the organization. You'll be matched to a role that fits your needs and interests.
