Who Can Visit?

Abundant Life Food Pantry is open to anyone who needs help with food. There are no income requirements or other qualifiers. All food and resources are given for free to those in need. If it is your first visit, you will need to bring a current utility bill that shows your name and address.

Good to Know

Visitors can expect to find a good variety of items, including fresh foods like milk, eggs, and meat, as well as hygiene products. The pantry is closed on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Reviewers note that volunteers are warm and caring, and that the pantry has stayed open even during freezing cold weather to make sure people in need could get food.

Food & Essentials

At Abundant Life Food Pantry, you can find a wide range of food and grocery items. These include milk, eggs, and meat, as well as hygiene products. The pantry also regularly stocks canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned tuna, canned diced tomatoes, canned chili beans, canned soup, dried beans (pinto, black, and kidney), peanut butter, jelly, syrup, pasta of all kinds, macaroni and cheese, pancake mix, and ramen noodles.

How to Pick Up

Visitors come in person to pick up food during pantry hours. The Lee's Summit location is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at 1300 SW Jefferson St, Lee's Summit, MO 64081.

Ways to Give

Abundant Life Food Pantry welcomes donated food items and financial gifts. The Lee's Summit pantry accepts drop-off donations on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. To schedule your drop-off time, call the church office at 816-554-8181 or use the contact form at abundant-life.com.

There is also a program called Bags By the Bumper at the Lee's Summit campus. On the first Sunday of each month, you can fill a grocery bag or two with commonly needed items and set it by the bumper of your car during the church service. The team will take care of picking it up. Items that are especially needed include canned vegetables (14.5 oz.), canned fruit (14.5 oz.), canned tuna, canned diced tomatoes, canned chili beans (14.5 oz.), canned or plastic jars of pasta sauce, canned soup, dried beans, peanut butter, jelly, syrup, pasta, macaroni and cheese, pancake mix, and ramen noodles. Please note: no glass jars or bottles, and no bulk-sized canned goods larger than 16 oz.
