Good to Know

The pantry is located on Dennis Street off Calhoun, at the rear of the Corryville Catholic School Building — one block past The George Event Center on Calhoun.

If you need to visit outside of regular hours, you can come by appointment — just call 513-751-8771.

Food & Essentials

The pantry provides both non-perishable and perishable food items. Non-perishable items include canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats, juices, dried or canned beans, pasta, rice, and other grains and cereal. Reviewers mention receiving a grocery allotment that may include milk, cereal, meat, and doughnuts.

Along with food, the pantry also gives out personal care and cleaning items such as personal hygiene products, personal grooming products, paper goods, diapers, and cleaning supplies — things that cannot be bought with SNAP benefits.

How to Pick Up

When you come to the pantry, you get to choose the items you want. Clients are given a choice of items to select from, making it a client-choice pantry experience.

Additional Support

The pantry is connected to a broader network of social service agencies in the Greater Cincinnati area and makes referrals to those agencies as needed.

Ways to Give

Donations are always welcome! There are a few ways to give:

  • Online: Make a secure electronic donation at smsgparishonline.weshareonline.org/ws/opportunities/FoodPantry
  • By mail: Send a monetary donation to: Saint George Food Pantry, Attn: Joan Callahan, Director, 328 West McMillan St., Cincinnati, OH 45219-1224
  • Drop off food: Non-perishable items can be dropped off at St. Monica–St. George Church during weekend Mass times (Saturday 4:30 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM, and Sunday 5:30 PM), or at the food pantry during the week by appointment.

Monetary donations are especially helpful because they allow the pantry to buy bulk non-perishable foods through the Freestore Food Bank. The pantry also accepts non-perishable food items, as well as household items like personal hygiene products, paper goods, diapers, and cleaning supplies.

To arrange a drop-off or for more information, contact Joan at 513-751-8771 or stgeorgepantry@zoomtown.com.
