Bethel Foundation - Food Distribution Center
Who Can Visit?
Bethel Foundation packs free bags of groceries for anyone who needs food. You must register before your first visit. First-time visitors only need to register online and bring a photo ID to pick up food or clothing the same day.
How to Register?
- Complete the online registration form at the Get Assistance page.
- After you register, you'll get an email with your client ID barcode. Save a screenshot of it for faster check-in when you arrive.
- If you can't upload your documents online, email them to debra@bethelfoundation.org or bring them with you on your first visit.
Every three years you'll need to re-register with current paperwork.
Items Needed for Registration
For your first visit (food or clothing only), bring:
- A photo ID (driver's license, US passport, or military ID)
To access all services and receive ongoing help, bring these documents for everyone in your household:
- Current photo ID
- Birth certificates or Social Security cards for every person living in the home (adults and minors)
- A copy of your lease or a current utility bill showing your name and address
- Proof of income (food stamps, your two most recent paychecks, or disability documentation)
How Often You Can Visit?
Once you're fully registered, you can come once every month for food and clothing. Diapers and toiletries are available once every other month. Household goods can be requested once every other month as well.
Good to Know
The Community Center opens at 10:00 am Monday through Thursday, even though the office opens at 9:00 am. You won't be able to pick up food or clothing before 10:00 am. The office and Community Center close for lunch from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm and then reopen until 4:00 pm.
How to Pick Up
Bethel packs bags of groceries for you to pick up at their Community Center at 13003 N. Western Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73114. The community center also has a shopping area where you can pick out clothes for yourself and your kids. There is no delivery — you must come to the office in person to receive items.
Additional Support
Beyond groceries and clothing, Bethel offers a range of programs for families in need:
- Household Goods — Registered clients can request items like furniture, bed sheets, towels, appliances, or a television. Text (not call) (405) 831-5490 with your name, email, phone number, and the item you'd like. Appointments are scheduled based on availability.
- Baby Supplies — Diapers, cribs, car seats, and other baby items are available upon request, subject to availability.
- Birthday Club — Provides a gift and a birthday cake for your child. You must call two weeks before your child's birthday to schedule.
- Thanksgiving Meals — Bethel packs a Thanksgiving meal for anyone who needs it. Applications are accepted the first two weeks of November, but you must be fully registered by October of that year.
- Angels for Kids — Christmas gifts for kids. Sign-ups are accepted August through October, but you must be fully registered by the end of July.
- Back-to-School Supplies — Every August, Bethel provides school supplies upon request. No registration required. Bring a school supply list.
- Kids Camps — Free camps for kids throughout the year, aligned with the Oklahoma City School District calendar. No agency registration required.
- Cars for Moms and Grace Scholarship — Programs for single mothers, including help with owning a car and financial assistance for college.
Ways to Give
Bethel accepts a wide variety of donations, including food, clothing, household goods, vehicles, computers, and other items. Physical donations must be brought to the office at 13003 N. Western Ave. during office hours (Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm). Please do not drop off outside of those hours. All donated items should be clean, in good working order, and not broken. To donate online, visit the donation page. You can also shop for a cause through ShopRaise, where a portion of what you spend comes back to Bethel.
How to Join the Team?
Bethel welcomes volunteers for many roles, including helping in the Community Center with food stocking and distribution, clothing sorting, camp mentoring, event assistance, and grounds maintenance.
