Infant Crisis Services
Who Can Visit?
Infant Crisis Services helps families with children from birth to their fourth birthday. There are no income limitations, and no paperwork is needed. If possible, call ahead to make an appointment at (405) 528-3663. The baby does not need to be present when you visit.
How Often You Can Visit?
Services are provided a maximum of four times per calendar year per child. Each visit must be at least a week apart. Visits to the main office and visits to the BabyMobile both count toward the four allowed visits.
Good to Know
Each visit provides a week's worth of supplies. Volunteers are on hand to help take care of your children while you shop for the items you need. Appointments are often available the same day or the next day after calling.
Food & Essentials
Each visit includes a week's worth of formula, a package of shelf-stable food and milk, a week's worth of diapers (sizes newborn through 6), a pack of baby wipes, and a baby bottle or sippy cup. Clothing for children from preemie to 4T is also available based on donations, including outfits, blankets, bibs, and burp cloths. Car seats are distributed and installed on a case-by-case basis. Pack and plays are available upon request for babies seven months old and younger.
How to Pick Up
When you arrive, you fill out paperwork and then go to the back where you can choose the items you need. Volunteers bring out your selections in bags. Reviewers describe it as a warm, organized space where staff and volunteers take care of your children while you shop.
Additional Support
The BabyMobile is Infant Crisis Services' mobile formula, food, and diaper pantry. It travels to dozens of locations across the OKC metro area and across many Oklahoma counties, bringing supplies directly to families who face transportation barriers. No appointment is needed for the BabyMobile, and the child does not need to be present. You can check the full BabyMobile schedule on the website, or text the word BABYMOBILE to to receive the current schedule. Note that the BabyMobile does not operate during bad weather, and cancellations are possible.
Ways to Give
Infant Crisis Services is funded entirely through private donations, grants, and volunteer efforts and receives no regular government or United Way funding. You can donate money online at the website or drop off physical items at the main location at 4224 N. Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73105. There is also a drop-off location at Tulips, 570 Buchanan Ave., Norman, OK (Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).
Items they can accept include new pacifiers, baby bath/shampoo/lotion, baby wipes, diapers (newborn through size 6, open packs are okay), unopened and unexpired infant formula, baby clothing from preemie to 4T, new bottles, new or gently used sippy cups, unopened and unexpired shelf-stable food, books and baby toys (new or gently used), and blankets, bibs, burp cloths, and wash cloths (new or gently used). You can also shop their Amazon Wish List. Most-needed items include Dr. Brown's Good Start Gentle formula, soy formula (any brand), diapers, wipes, new bottles, and new sippy cups.
