Who Can Visit?

Ennis CARES is open to local families who have difficulty affording groceries. The Mobile Food Pantry program serves 300 or more families per event in Ennis, Texas, through a partnership with Catholic Charities.

Food & Essentials

The Mobile Food Pantry provides a wide variety of food, including fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, canned goods, and dry goods. For in-kind donations, they also accept cereal, snacks, and coffee pods.

Additional Support

Ennis CARES runs several programs beyond food distribution:

Mobile Food Pantry is a quarterly event run in partnership with Catholic Charities. It serves 300 or more local families with fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, canned goods, and dry goods. For dates, check the calendar.

Homeless Friends is a weekly program held every Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 10am at 505 NW Main Street, Ennis, Texas. It provides a hot breakfast, health and wellness checks, social service coordination, and fellowship for people experiencing homelessness.

Drive-Up and Drop-Off is a monthly collection held the first Saturday of each month at the Avenue Church parking lot. Each month, collected items go to a different local non-profit based on their specific needs.

Ennis CARES also maintains a Resources page with local referrals covering food, clothing, rent, transportation, utilities, housing, health care, legal aid, and more.

Ways to Give

Ennis CARES accepts both financial donations and in-kind item donations. You can give online through their donate page in any amount, including recurring monthly gifts. If you'd like to designate your gift to a specific need, you can do that by sending a check with a note.
