Dunedin Cares Food Pantry, Inc.
Who Can Visit?
Dunedin Cares serves residents of Dunedin, Clearwater, and Palm Harbor. You'll need a valid photo ID showing an address in one of those three communities to get food here.
Items Needed for Registration
Bring a valid photo ID (driver's license, student ID, or government ID) showing your Dunedin, Clearwater, or Palm Harbor address. If your photo ID doesn't show your current address, bring it along with a piece of mail that has your name and current address. You'll need to show your ID every time you visit.
How Often You Can Visit?
You can visit once every four weeks. When you leave, you'll get a "Next Visit" card as a reminder of when you can come back.
Good to Know
- Bring your own reusable shopping bags.
- Wait times vary. An average of 20 minutes is common. You're asked to wait in your car until your number is called.
- Special dietary items like gluten-free, low/no sodium, sugar-free, and vegetarian options are available depending on current donations.
- The pantry is closed on Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Food & Essentials
Based on donations, the pantry generally offers frozen meat, fresh produce, milk, eggs, butter, bread, bakery items, a variety of non-perishable foods, personal care products, and pet food.
How to Pick Up
This is a client-choice pantry, meaning you shop like you would at a grocery store. A shopping assistant is assigned to each guest to help throughout the visit. You can walk in during open hours and pick the items you'd like from the shelves.
There's also a "Rapid Shop" option for curbside service. You select from a list of available items, and volunteers will pick, pack, and bring everything to your car.
