Who Can Visit?
The Light of Hope food pantry ("La despensa Light of Hope") serves families, elderly individuals, and all kinds of people in West Tampa and nearby neighborhoods who are dealing with food insecurity, hunger, or financial hardship. You must be at least 18 years old to receive food.
No registration is needed. You're served in order of arrival.
Items Needed for Registration
You don't need to register, but you do need to provide your name, a phone number, and the zip code where you or your family lives. No proof of residence is required.
Good to Know
The pantry is currently paused. When it's open, it runs every other month on a Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Food is completely free. The pantry also offers prayer and resource suggestions for people looking for hope and support.
Food & Essentials
Food available depends on donations. The pantry provides nutritious non-perishable items such as canned goods and dry goods, along with bread and baked donations when available.
Most-needed donation items include rice, sugar, oil, cereals, cookies, juices, pasta, canned meats (chicken, tuna, beef stew), dried and canned beans, peanut butter and jelly, coffee, salt, canned vegetables and fruits, soups with meat or beans, and tomato sauce.

When open, you show up in person and are served in order of arrival.
Ways to Give
You can support the pantry in several ways:
- Food donations: Bring canned goods, sealed items, and non-perishables to 2606 N. MacDill Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607.
- Monetary donations: Give online through SecureGive at securegive.com and choose "Pantry Ministry." You can also make a one-time or recurring donation through the SecureGive app (search for "Light of The World Church Assembly of God," select Main Campus, then Pantry Ministry).
- Check: Make checks payable to Light of the World Church AG.
Anyone who makes a monetary donation will receive a thank-you letter with the donation amount.
How to Join the Team?
Volunteers help run the pantry events. You can join every other month on a Saturday by contacting the church at office@ldmtampa.com.
