Northeast Christian Church
Who Can Visit?
The NorthEast Christian Church Food Pantry is open to anyone in the community who needs food support. It's run in partnership with God's Pantry and serves the east side of Lexington.
Good to Know
The pantry serves upwards of 140 families each Saturday, so arriving early is a good idea. Spanish translators may be available if you need help.
Food & Essentials
Available items include dairy, breads, meats, fresh vegetables and fruits, and non-perishable foods. Limited hygiene items may also be available on some visits.
How to Pick Up
When you arrive, follow the signs to the West Wing entrance. The pantry uses a numbering system to manage the line, so getting there early helps you get a lower number.
Ways to Give
The pantry welcomes both food and monetary donations.
For food donations, they accept non-perishable items including boxed pasta, canned pasta sauce, canned vegetables, and canned soups. Drop off food donations outside the Food Pantry on Sunday mornings or during normal church business hours. Please don't bring donations while the pantry is open to the public.
Monetary donations help the pantry buy bulk foods from God's Pantry at a significant discount. To donate online, visit the Food Pantry donation page. Donations are tax-deductible through NorthEast Christian Church.
For questions about donations, email foodpantry@ncclex.org or call (859) 299-1251 and leave a message.
How to Join the Team?
Volunteers are needed every Saturday. There are three ways to help:
- Food Pantry Prep (Thursdays/Fridays): Help unload, sort, and prepare food before Saturday. Email foodpantry@ncclex.org to sign up.
- Food Pantry Host (Saturday AM): Help clients get the food they need, stock shelves, and assist with crowd management. Children are welcome with a parent. Sign up to serve.
- Food Pantry Driver: Drive a box truck and operate a pallet jack for food deliveries. Email foodpantry@ncclex.org to get on the schedule.
