Food & Essentials

Mimi's Pantry 4 Kids is a supplemental pantry where kids can shop for hygiene products, school supplies, and snacks. Brand new backpacks are given out in August and brand new coats are given out in October. The pantry also offers new and used toys and games through its toy library, as well as free books and learning resources. The main food pantry (a separate location) focuses on healthy, fresh options and is stocked with fresh produce, dairy products, meats, and much more.

How to Pick Up

Kids can shop for their own items at the pantry in a client-choice style. Volunteers provide a personal shopping experience to guests. Shopping shifts are scheduled by appointment only. You can view available times and book at https://www.timetap.com/emb/385971.

Additional Support

Mimi's Pantry 4 Kids offers educational and enrichment classes for kids at its learning center. Programs include art classes, a builder's club, and other workshops. Volunteers also read to children and assist guests in the on-site library. Learning resources are available on site, along with free books to take home.

The main food pantry is a proud affiliate of Happy Bottoms, which provides diapers and pull-ups for children under the age of 4. Each month, families can receive 50 diapers or 30 pull-ups (pull-ups have a 6-visit limit). To enroll, bring your own photo ID and your child's ID (such as a Medicaid card, birth certificate, shot record, or passport).
