Additional Support
City Seniors Inc. also delivers hot, nutritionally balanced lunches to eligible residents who can't leave home. Meals are planned by a dietitian and delivered Monday through Friday between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm, right to your front door. Delivery drivers have passed background checks, including screening for elder abuse and sexual abuse.
You may also receive emergency meals during times when bad weather makes regular delivery impossible. If you're identified as being at nutritional risk, a registered dietitian can do a full nutritional assessment and provide counseling.
To apply for home-delivered meals, call 314.612.5918 (St. Louis Area Agency on Aging). A representative will ask you a series of questions, or you can leave a message and someone will call you back. If you're approved, a City Seniors team member will contact you to let you know when delivery will start.
To be eligible, you must be a St. Louis City resident and meet at least one of the following:
- Homebound due to a physical or mental disability (proof of disability required)
- Age 60 or older, or the spouse of a homebound older adult
- A person with a disability between ages 18 and 59
