Who Can Visit?

PCAC Southside Center Food Pantry serves residents of St. Louis City and Wellston whose household income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Undocumented immigrants are welcome to receive services.

How to Register?

To register, you'll need to visit the center and meet with a PCAC Intake Specialist. If you're missing any required documents, staff can talk with you about possible substitutes.

Items Needed for Registration

Bring the following documents when you register for the first time:

  • Photo ID for the head of household
  • Social Security card for the head of household and any family members being registered
  • Proof of residency (such as a recent piece of US mail)
  • Proof of income for the previous month (if you have no income, let the PCAC Intake Specialist know)

Food & Essentials

The pantry offers emergency food for people of all ages. Visitors have received meat, bacon, and a variety of other grocery items.

How to Pick Up

Food is available at the Broadway location at 6827 South Broadway (enter from Loughborough). The food pantry is open from 9 am to 2 pm during regular hours.

Additional Support

PCAC offers a wide range of services beyond food assistance, including:

  • Intake, assessment, and referral to help connect families with the right resources
  • People's Community University with classes on communication skills, healthy living and nutrition, budgeting, basic computer technology, HiSET preparation, job search and retention, energy conservation, and financial literacy
  • Adult Case Management to help address life barriers
  • Anger Management classes
  • HireSmart job readiness training for youth and adults aged 16 to 24

Clothing and other daily living items may also be available at PCAC locations.

Ways to Give

You can make a financial donation to support People's Community Action Corporation through the People's Family of Corporations donation page. Donations can be directed specifically to PCAC to help fund their food and community programs.
