Salvation Army St. Louis - Temple
Who Can Visit?
The Salvation Army St. Louis Temple serves people in South City St. Louis and the surrounding community. Their mission is to help all people without discrimination, regardless of religion, political party, or other background. Anyone who needs food can come to the food pantry.
Good to Know
At least one community member visits once a month to pick up food, which is a common rhythm for Salvation Army pantries. Volunteers and staff are known for being friendly and welcoming to everyone who walks in.
Additional Support
Beyond food, the Temple Corps connects visitors with a social worker who can help with a wide range of needs. Volunteers help people access the food pantry and get assistance from the social worker. The location also offers an after-school program for youth, emergency disaster services, and referrals to other resources. The Salvation Army also provides affordable housing support, emergency shelter, utility and rental assistance, veterans services, mental health resources, and older adult ministries as part of their broader work in the community.
Facilities
The Temple Corps has a thrift store on-site where donated goods are sorted and made available. Visitors can donate clothing, furniture, and household items here as well.
