1750 S Rainbow Blvd #4, Las Vegas, Nevada 89146

Hearts Alive Village is a nonprofit animal rescue organization founded in 2013. Their Cat Cafe at 1750 S. Rainbow Blvd. #4 in Las Vegas is part of a larger mission that also includes low-cost vet clinics, a pet food pantry, adoption programs, and veteran support services.

Who Can Visit?

Everyone is welcome! The Cat Cafe is open for both appointments and walk-ins, depending on availability. Kids can come too. The cafe is a great spot for cat lovers, families, people looking to adopt, or anyone who just wants to relax with some kitties.

Good to Know

  • Appointments are preferred. You can book online at heartsalivevillage.org. Walk-ins are welcome if spots are open, but it's best to reserve ahead.
  • The cafe stops accepting walk-ins before closing time, so don't wait until the last minute.
  • There's a mantrap entrance (a small secure hallway) to keep the cats from escaping when guests come in.
  • Cat collars are color-coded: green means the cat enjoys being petted, yellow means they're more shy, and pink means only staff can handle them.
  • The space has three separate areas: a main lounge with free-roaming cats, a smaller Cottage room for shy cats, and a Towers room for cats with medical needs or who are new arrivals.
  • You can bring your laptop. There are desks and tables if you want to work or study while visiting.

How Often You Can Visit?

You can visit as often as you'd like! Each visit is a one-hour slot by default, though extra time may be given depending on availability. There's no limit on how many times you can come back.

Food & Essentials

The admission donation includes complimentary snacks and drinks. You can choose either two snacks and one drink, or two drinks and one snack. Options have included bottled water, soda, iced tea, coffee, and snacks like puffs and cookies. There's also a Keurig available.

The cafe is not a full-service restaurant, but the included refreshments are a nice bonus while you spend time with the cats.

How to Pick Up

For the Pet Food Pantry (a separate program from the Cat Cafe), you fill out a form on the Hearts Alive Village website to request dog or cat food and supplies. After submitting, you'll receive a notification with the pickup date and time. Pickup is typically on Sundays between 11am and 12pm, though the exact schedule is confirmed by notification.

For the Cat Cafe itself:

  • Make a reservation online or show up as a walk-in.
  • Pay the admission donation ($15 to $18 per person, depending on current pricing) at the door or online.
  • A staff member will escort you in and explain the rules before you start your visit.

Facilities

The Cat Cafe is clean and well-maintained. Visitors consistently mention there's no typical shelter smell. The space feels like a stylish home, with comfortable seating, cat trees, cat beds, and interactive toys throughout. There are also coloring stations for kids. Wi-Fi is available.

The main lounge has free-roaming, socialized cats. There's a smaller room (the Cottages) for shyer cats, and the Towers area for cats with medical needs or new arrivals. Litter boxes and food and water bowls are placed throughout the space. Staff regularly clean and scoop during visits.

The facility has a secure mantrap entrance to prevent cats from escaping.
