Who Can Visit?

JFSA welcomes people of all backgrounds to its food pantry. You don't have to be Jewish to receive help. The agency serves people regardless of religion, race, age, disability, sexual orientation, or national origin. If you or your family are facing a tough time and need food support, you're welcome here.

Food & Essentials

The food pantry provides a wide variety of items to help keep your household fed. Deliveries and distributions include fruits and vegetables, protein items, meat, canned goods, and prepared foods like sandwiches. You can also expect some surprises like sweets. The selection changes each time, so there's always something different to look forward to.

How to Pick Up

JFSA runs a Pop-Up Market where volunteers set up, pack, and distribute fresh produce and pantry staples at different locations in the community. You can check the JFSA Food Pantry Pop-Up Market Calendar for upcoming dates and locations.

Additional Support

JFSA offers much more than just food. Here are some of the other ways they can help:

  • Food delivery for homebound seniors: If you're a senior who has trouble getting out, JFSA can deliver food right to your home. Drivers make deliveries every other week.
  • Financial assistance: JFSA offers one-time emergency help for people in a financial crisis, including emergency rent assistance.
  • Counseling and behavioral health services: The agency provides clinical counseling in a caring, sensitive setting, plus educational assessments and breast cancer care support.
  • Senior services: Programs include the Senior Lifeline Program, Senior Companion Program, Foster Grandparent Program, and Holocaust Survivors Assistance Program.
  • Nevada Care Connection: A program to help people make informed decisions and connect with other services as easily as possible.
  • Second Step Homeless Program: Support for people transitioning out of homelessness and into stable housing.
  • Adoption services: JFSA runs Open Arms Adoption Agency, a licensed child placement agency that supports birth parents and waiting families.
