Additional Support
Beyond food, Lower Lights Ministries offers a wide range of support for adults in the Franklinton neighborhood. The Outreach Services program connects people to employment and finance mentoring, GED and high school equivalency support, life coaching, and individualized advocacy. Staff can also help you connect with other community resources and assist with communication needs. The weekly Franklinton Family Meal is a free hot sit-down meal open to neighbors and community members, where you can build relationships and get connected to other resources.

Lower Lights Ministries welcomes donations to support its programs. You can give online at website or send a check by mail to Lower Lights Ministries, 1066 Bellows Avenue, Columbus, OH 43223. In-kind item donations are also accepted — visit website for details on what's currently needed. You can also support the ministry at no extra cost by signing up for the Kroger Community Rewards program and choosing Lower Lights as your charity. How to Join the Team?
There are many ways to volunteer at Lower Lights Ministries. Volunteer roles include serving as a finance mentor, tutor, transportation volunteer, or spiritual mentor for adults, as well as academic mentor, personal mentor, meal provider, or summer day camp counselor for youth. You can also volunteer as a stylist at the Lower Lights Salon, help with property maintenance, assist at fundraising events, or serve as a family meal provider.
