Who Can Visit?

Dublin Food Pantry serves individuals and families who live within the City of Dublin or the Dublin City School District area. The district covers parts of Franklin, Delaware, and Union counties and includes ZIP codes 43017, 43016, 43235, 43026, 43220, 43015, 43065, and 43064. You can check your school district or check your city address on their website. Eligibility is income based -- a family of four earning $60,000 or less per year qualifies for pantry assistance.

If you don't live in the service area, the pantry will provide emergency grocery assistance on a one-time basis and help you find a pantry you can visit for future needs.

How Often You Can Visit?

You can visit up to two times each month. Your first visit is a full shop. Your second visit offers fresh produce only.

Good to Know

On your first visit of the month, you'll receive a blue number tag for a full shop along with a color-coded ticket that tells you how much of each item you can take. On your second visit, you'll get a green number tag for produce. Close to the start time, staff give out random numbers to decide the order people shop -- it's a lottery system, not first come, first served. Customers who arrive after the lottery is done will be given a number as they enter the building. Getting there early gives you better item selections. Generally, only one person from your household goes into the shopping area, and children aren't allowed in the shopping area (except in the produce-only area). Please bring your own reusable shopping bags, as they often don't have enough bags to go around.

Food & Essentials

The pantry is a choice pantry, so you pick the items you want to take home. You'll find fresh produce available every day, including items like vegetables. Reviewers mention receiving lamb, Polish sausage, frozen seafood, chocolate and white milk for children, canned chicken and salmon, diced tomatoes, canned fruit, rice and pasta side dishes, soup, and baked goods like bread. The pantry also provides hygiene items such as feminine pads, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, laundry detergent, baby wipes, diapers (sizes 4T-5T, 5T-6T, and 6), and adult diapers.

How to Pick Up

Dublin Food Pantry is a choice pantry where customers walk through and pick the items they want to take home. When you arrive, check in at the entrance. You'll receive a number tag and a color-coded ticket showing how much of each item you can take. One person from your household does the shopping at a time.

If you can't come in yourself, you can send a proxy to check in and pick up on your behalf. The proxy should bring a letter with your name, address, signature, household size, and phone number, plus the proxy's own name, phone number, and address. For questions about this, call 614-665-8181.

Additional Support

The pantry can work to connect you with diapers, baby wipes, pet food, family-sized packages, or vegetarian and other restricted diet items if possible. The community resources page links to SNAP information, Meals-on-Wheels, FreshTrak, local shelter hotlines, transportation assistance for Medicaid members, and more. If two visits per month aren't enough for your family's needs, you can email the Executive Director at director@dublinfoodpantry.org for additional help and referrals.

Ways to Give

The pantry accepts food donations, essential item donations, and financial contributions. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off through the far left door at 6608 Dublin Center Drive, Dublin, OH 43017, Monday through Sunday from 8am to 7pm. For perishable garden donations, drop-off is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday only. To schedule a drop-off of large donations or perishable items, email jim@dublinfoodpantry.org. You can also donate online at givebutter.com/mNtkuL using a credit card, Apple Pay, Venmo, or PayPal. Donations can also be made through The Columbus Foundation. If you use Kroger, select Dublin Food Pantry (organization number WC203) as your Kroger Community Rewards charity -- Kroger will donate a percentage of your eligible purchases at no extra cost to you. For every $1 donated, the pantry can replace about 2.5 meals. A giving guide with more ways to give is available on their website. Most needed items right now include feminine pads, baby wipes, toothpaste, diapers, deodorant, adult diapers, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, rice, canned chicken and salmon, ramen, jelly, pancake mix, ready-to-eat soup, diced tomatoes, canned fruit, and side dishes. You can also find more needs on their Amazon Wishlist.
