Good to Know
On every service day, tickets are available starting at 8:30 a.m. and are located inside the entry way. You pick up a ticket, come back at your ticket's allotted time, and then shop for your selections. Reviewers note it's worth arriving early to secure a good ticket time.
Food & Essentials
The FRC provides greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, and protein. The shopper-choice setup means you pick exactly what your household needs rather than receiving a pre-packed bag.
How to Pick Up
The Regional Food Bank FRC is a shopper-choice pantry. When you arrive for your ticket time, you walk through the center and pick your own food from a variety of items. Reviewers note that sometimes there are bonus items available as well.
Additional Support
Beyond food, the FRC connects clients with a wide range of resources:
- Cooking and nutrition demonstrations
- Nutrition education and recipes
- Case managers who can help with goal setting, connections to medical and dental resources, housing and utilities assistance, budgeting, and resume-building and job-seeking skills
- Library services
- Child wellness resources
- Help accessing health insurance and prescription benefits
- Information about SNAP and WIC
The center also distributes Commodity Supplemental Food Program boxes to low-income seniors and is a Summer Feeding Program site providing free nutritious meals and snacks to children up to age 18.
If you need help finding resources, you can fill out the Resource and Referral Form to be contacted by an FRC employee.
Ways to Give
Food donations help keep pantries stocked across the Regional Food Bank's network. You can donate food as an individual by organizing a food drive, or as a food retailer, wholesaler, or manufacturer. You can also make a financial donation directly at the Donate to Regional Food Bank FRC page. For questions, call or text 405-972-1111 or email info@rfbo.org.
How to Join the Team?
Volunteers are essential to keeping the FRC running. The minimum age to volunteer is 8 years old. You can sign up as an individual, as a group of 6 or more people, or through the FRC's own volunteer program.
