Who Can Visit?
Anyone living in South OKC zip codes is welcome to come. Your family income needs to be below the federal poverty guidelines to receive USDA food. No documentation or paperwork is required to get started. Spanish speakers are welcome — the pantry proudly serves the whole neighborhood.
How Often You Can Visit?
Visitors are asked to come once per month. The pantry serves over 20,000 people a year, so keeping to that once-a-month limit helps make sure everyone in the community can be served.
Good to Know
The line forms on S. Douglas Ave north of the church before hours begin. From time to time the pantry may run out of food and need to close on a given day with little advance notice, so it's a good idea to have a backup plan just in case.
How to Pick Up
This is a drive-thru pantry. Pull up during open hours and wait in line in your car on S. Douglas Ave. Volunteers will bring the food out and put it directly into your vehicle.
Ways to Give
You can support the pantry by giving online through the church's secure giving platform at okcbiblemethodist.org/give, giving in person by cash or check, or mailing a check to Bible Methodist Church, 5801 S. Douglas Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73109. You can also designate your gift toward specific ministries when giving online or by noting it on your check.
How to Join the Team?
Volunteers are always needed and are warmly welcomed from the neighborhood! You can show up on any Wednesday or Friday when the pantry is open (roughly 9–12) to help out without any advance commitment. The pantry also needs help on delivery days — the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 9–12 — when thousands of pounds of food are moved from the truck to the shelves and refrigerators. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed, though any language skill level is welcome. To get in touch, text or call 405-632-2060 or email okcbiblemethodist@gmail.com. You can also sign up to serve at the volunteer page.
