Mercy Food Pantry
Who Can Visit?
Mercy Food Pantry is open to everyone in the Oklahoma City area, regardless of zip code. One person per family comes in to pick up food for the household.
Items Needed for Registration
Bring a photo ID when you visit for the first time so staff can register you. If you have them, bring your own bags or boxes to carry food home.
How Often You Can Visit?
Most households can visit once every two weeks. If your household has seven or more people, you may be able to visit twice a month.
Good to Know
Bring your own bags or boxes since food isn't pre-packed in take-home bags. When you leave, you're welcome to take as much fruit as you'd like from the boxes near the door. The pantry also often includes a bouquet of flowers with your food.
Food & Essentials
Mercy Food Pantry offers a great variety of food, including fresh vegetables like lettuce, potatoes, tomatoes, avocados, and other produce. You can also find fruits, bread, eggs, milk, meat like sausage links, and a wide range of shelf-stable grocery items. The pantry sources food from places like Trader Joe's, so the selection is often varied and includes items like fancy cheeses and other surprises. Frozen meats and fresh produce are frequently available.
How to Pick Up
The pantry uses a choice-style model where volunteers help you pick from the available items. You walk through or inside the pantry, and the staff and volunteers work with you to make sure you go home with as much as possible.
