Reaching Our City Food Pantry welcomes anyone in the community who needs food assistance. Visitors can come once a month to receive food.
Who Can Visit?
Manna Pantry serves people who are food insecure and living in Canadian County. You'll need to bring a photo ID and proof of residence (such as a utility bill) when you come. The pantry runs on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is a good idea.
How Often You Can Visit?
Most visitors come once a month, though in rare cases weekly visits may be allowed depending on current stock and your situation.
Good to Know
The pantry gets busy, so plan to wait. Shoppers must arrive at least 30 minutes before closing, and if they've already reached capacity for the day, you may be asked to return another time. Reviewers report leaving with a generous amount of food, with one family estimating around $400 worth for two weeks. Come as early as you can to secure your spot.
Food & Essentials
Manna Pantry carries a wide variety of food donated by local retail partners including Aldi, Sprouts, Crest, Homeland, Target, Walmart, and Walmart Neighborhood Market, as well as the Regional Food Bank. You can expect canned and baked goods, fresh produce, breads, pastries, and frozen meats. Reviewers have mentioned steaks, fish, fresh vegetables, cookies, cakes, and other quality items. The selection varies by visit depending on what's been donated.
How to Pick Up
Manna Pantry is a client-choice pantry, which means you shop for your own items like you would at a grocery store. Up to four shoppers are inside at a time, so when it's busy you'll be given a buzzer to wait until it's your turn. The amount you can select depends on your household size and what's in stock.
Additional Support
Staff have been known to tell visitors about other local services and resources when they come in for food.
Ways to Give
Manna Pantry welcomes donations of food, money, and supplies such as paper sacks and egg cartons. Non-perishable food donations can be left in bins out front of the pantry any time.
