Who Can Visit?

Everyone is welcome at the Westover Hills Church of Christ Drive-Thru Food Pantry. You don't need to register or sign up in advance. Just show up in the Westover parking lot on a Saturday morning and they'll take care of you. Westover is an equal-opportunity provider.

Good to Know

The pantry serves 260 to 300 cars every Saturday and food is distributed until it runs out, so it's a good idea to arrive early. Many families depend on the weekly distribution and line up early in the morning to make sure they get food. You can reach the pantry team at pantry@westover.org with any questions. Food & Essentials

Each car receives two bags: one with fresh and perishable items like produce, and one with nonperishable items like canned goods and dry goods. On the last Saturday of each month, each car also receives a package of diapers if needed.

How to Pick Up

The Drive-Thru Food Pantry runs every Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00am (or until food runs out) in the Westover Hills Church of Christ parking lot at 8332 Mesa Drive, Austin, TX 78759. Just drive up and the volunteers will bring everything to your car.

Additional Support

Westover also connects people with other kinds of help. Their Counseling Center offers affordable, licensed mental health and talk therapy services for individuals, couples, and families. You don't have to be a churchgoer to use these services. Through their local outreach partners, they can also connect expectant families with baby essentials, and help immigrants and refugees find resources and support in Austin.

Ways to Give

You can support the food pantry by donating food or money. The pantry always needs items like beef stew, boxed cereal, canned soup, pasta sauce, peanut butter, rice, dried beans, tuna or chicken pouches, and personal care items like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, paper towels, and toilet paper. They also need your leftover grocery bags (both paper and reusable plastic). To make a financial donation, you can give online through Realm, text "WESTOVER [amount]" to 73256, drop cash or a check in the donation boxes inside the Worship Center, or mail a check to Westover Hills Church of Christ, 8332 Mesa Drive, Austin, TX 78759.

How to Join the Team?

Volunteers are needed every week to keep the Drive-Thru Pantry running. You don't have to be a Westover churchgoer to volunteer. Here are the current volunteer opportunities:

• Tuesdays, 9:00 to 11:00am: Help receive and unload food from HEB delivery and bag dry goods for 260 to 300 families.
• Thursdays, 9:00am to 12:00pm: Receive dry goods and produce from the Central Texas Food Bank, then stock, sort, and bag for distribution.
• Saturdays, 8:30 to 11:00am: Help with client intake and sign-in, pray with clients, and distribute food during the Drive-Thru. Spanish speakers are especially needed to help serve clients with limited English.
