Who Can Visit?
Feed Lake Highlands serves individuals and families in the Lake Highlands neighborhood who are dealing with food insecurity. The pantry welcomes everyone in need, including single moms, seniors, immigrants, veterans, and children. No one is turned away based on who they are. Applications are done on site when you arrive, so you don't need to register ahead of time.
How Often You Can Visit?
The website does not specify a limit on how often you can visit, so you're welcome to come each week the pantry is open.
Good to Know
When you come, you'll get to choose the items you want. Volunteers there treat everyone with grace, hope, integrity, and commitment. Outside, you may even get to pick out fresh produce like watermelon. The pantry is located at The New Room Community Center at 10061 Whitehurst Drive, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75243.
Food & Essentials
Feed Lake Highlands provides supplemental groceries including fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins. When you donate food, the items they accept include macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soups, dried beans, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, canned meat such as tuna, chicken, chili, and pasta meals like ravioli and spaghettios, family-size boxes or bags of cereal, tortillas, peanut butter, and tomato products like diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Rotel.
How to Pick Up
Feed Lake Highlands is a client-choice pantry, which means you get to pick the items you want. Visitors choose from available food options when they come to the distribution center.
Ways to Give
There are two ways to support Feed Lake Highlands. You can make a monetary donation online at feedlakehighlands-bloom.kindful.com. A gift of $25 provides 10 meals, $100 provides 40 meals, $500 provides 200 meals, $1,000 provides 400 meals, and $5,000 provides 2,000 meals.
You can also donate food items by dropping them off at 10061 Whitehurst Drive, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75243 on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Accepted food donations include macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soups, dried beans, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, canned tuna, canned chicken, chili, pasta meals, family-size cereals, tortillas, peanut butter, and tomato products.

How to Join the Team?
Feed Lake Highlands relies on volunteers to make food distribution possible. You can sign up to volunteer through the Volunteer Signup Form. Volunteers help with food distribution and the Bookmobile. If you or your business want to become a partner, you can fill out the partnership form on the How To Help page, and a team member will reach out to you.
