South Dallas Community Market
Who Can Visit?
The South Dallas Community Market is open to South Dallas residents who want the opportunity to shop for healthy groceries. Anyone over the age of 18 can sign up. You'll be asked a few questions about your household size and income when you register.
How to Register?
You can sign up online at tfaforms.com/5014333 before you visit. You can also sign up in person at the store when you come by.
Items Needed for Registration
Please bring a form of ID with you when you visit.
How Often You Can Visit?
You can shop twice per month. If you miss your regular shopping time, you're welcome to come on the next open grocery store day or call (469) 621-5902 for more information.
Good to Know
Shopping at the South Dallas Community Market is completely free. There's no cost to you. Reviewers note that wait times are short and there's a great selection to choose from. The staff is friendly and will even bag your groceries when you're done shopping.
On Wednesdays between 1 and 3 PM, the market hosts a special shopping day just for parents with children under 5. Free parenting classes and childcare items are provided for class participants.
How to Pick Up
The South Dallas Community Market works like a real grocery store where you choose your own items. You shop for free nutritious food that you pick yourself right in the community of South Dallas. When you're done, staff will help bag your groceries.
