The food pantry at Ascension DePaul Services is open to anyone experiencing food insecurity. Community members aged 60 or older who meet financial eligibility criteria can also receive free groceries through the Senior Food Distribution program.

The in-house food pantry provides groceries to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The Senior Food Distribution program offers free, nutritious groceries to eligible community members aged 60 and older, distributed twice a month.
How to Pick Up
Visits to the food pantry require an appointment. Call (210) 334-2300 to schedule your time, then come to the DePaul Family Center at 7607 Somerset Road.
Additional Support
Ascension DePaul Services offers many services alongside food assistance:
- Public Assistance Programs: Licensed social workers can help you apply for Medicare, Medicaid, SSI, CareLink, food stamps, and child care programs.
- Utility Assistance: Help with electric bill payments is available in emergency situations.
- R.A.Y.S. Parenting Program: Parents can receive free diapers, wipes, and formula, along with counseling and classes in parenting, exercise, nutrition, and personal finances.
- Community Health Workers: Certified Community Health Workers provide guidance and support to individuals and families working toward greater self-sufficiency and economic stability.
Facilities
The Clothing Closet provides clothing, hygiene products, and toiletry items for the whole family.

- Donate food: Donated food is accepted at the in-house food pantry.
- Donate clothing or household goods: Gently used clothing and household goods in good condition are accepted at their thrift operation.
- Stock donations: Charitable stock donations are accepted through Frost Brokerage Services.
