The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Dominic Catholic Church is here for anyone in need from the parish and the surrounding community. You don't need to be a parishioner to receive help.
Who Can Visit?
H.O.P.E. serves Bexar County residents with a self-attested income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level, or who are receiving government assistance, or whose household is in a crisis situation. No ID or documentation is required, and no appointment is needed. You do need to be able to pick up food in person, as no deliveries are offered.
How Often You Can Visit?
Each household can receive food assistance once per month.
Good to Know
Food is given out on a first-come, first-served basis and continues until supplies run out, so plan to arrive when distribution starts at 10:00 a.m. Visitors say the staff is kind, warm-hearted, and treats everyone like family.
Food & Essentials
The pantry distributes perishable and non-perishable food, drinks, and hygiene products. Clothing is also available for individuals and families who need it. One visitor noted it's a great option for seniors looking for healthy food choices.
