Saint Dominic's Svdp - Food Distribution Center
Who Can Visit?
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Dominic Catholic Church is here for anyone in need from the parish and the surrounding community. You don't need to be a parishioner to receive help.
Food & Essentials
The pantry provides food assistance to those who come for help. The ministry has also helped more than 16,000 individuals with essential clothing items.
Additional Support
Beyond food, the St. Vincent de Paul team at St. Dominic also helps with utility bills and rent assistance for those facing financial hardship.
Ways to Give
Your support helps keep this ministry going. You can give online at the parish's donation page, drop an envelope in the offertory basket during Mass, or mail a check to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Rd, San Antonio, TX 78228. Time and talent are welcome too. Volunteering in the ministry is another meaningful way to give back.
How to Join the Team?
Volunteers are welcome to show up any Tuesday or Friday for an orientation and to observe the ministry in action. Those who want to keep volunteering will be guided through the Archdiocese of San Antonio's volunteer requirements. Anyone interested in becoming a full Vincentian will receive training at the next available session. To learn more, you can reach out to Roy Chaffin at gone4awhile@hotmail.com.
