Bon Samaritan Literacy Family Center Food Pantry
Who Can Visit?
This pantry is part of the All Faiths Food Bank network and serves residents of Sarasota and DeSoto County. You don't need to pre-register before your first visit. If you can't register in person, you can submit a registration request online. A staff member will call you within 1 to 2 business days to finish the process. Registration isn't complete until you receive a client ID number from a food bank representative.
Items Needed for Registration
Registration is a one-time process across all All Faiths Food Bank pantries. You'll be asked to provide your household information when you register in person at the pantry.
How Often You Can Visit?
Each household can receive one serving per household per distribution.
Good to Know
Don't arrive more than 30 minutes before the scheduled distribution time. Once you register, you'll receive a client ID card. Bring that card with you every time you visit. Only one card is issued per household. If you need someone else to pick up food on your behalf, you can sign an authorization form to allow a proxy.
How to Pick Up
Most distributions in the All Faiths Food Bank network are drive-through. You stay in your car and receive food at your vehicle.
