Who Can Visit?
Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice serves anyone who needs help, regardless of their faith background. The Sarasota County office at 5055 N. Tamiami Trail provides financial assistance to residents of Sarasota County. To access services, call (941) 355-4680 to schedule an appointment.
Items Needed for Registration
When you come in for financial assistance, bring these items with you:
- A completed financial assistance application and releases
- A copy of your bill (for utility or rental help)
- A copy of your Florida license or ID
- The last 4 digits of your Social Security number
- A statement of hardship
- Proof of income

The Sarasota office offers several services beyond food assistance:
Financial Assistance helps families and individuals who've hit a financial hardship. This can include help with rent, mortgage, and utility bills. Assistance is based on eligibility and available funding. Call (941) 355-4680 to set up an appointment.
Behavioral Health Services are available at this location. Licensed psychotherapists offer affordable counseling for depression and anxiety, grief and loss, substance use, relationship challenges, autism spectrum concerns, and more. Housing and Support Services for people who are homeless or in need of housing help in Sarasota County are also available through this office, including case management and life skills development.
