The Caring Collective Mobile Pantry is open to everyone in Sarasota County. USDA eligibility is required, but you don't need to bring any documentation to prove it. Registration is required before you can receive food.
Each household may visit once per distribution.
Don't arrive more than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. One reviewer notes that early bird line numbers are given out around 3:00 AM and 7:30 AM, so arriving early can help you secure a spot in line. During storm season, distributions may be canceled due to thunder or lightning. Check before you go during hurricane season. Staff can assist in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The pantry focuses on fresh produce, proteins, and pantry staples. You can expect to receive fruits and vegetables, meat and protein items, dairy products, and shelf-stable or non-perishable goods.
This is a drive-through mobile pantry. You stay in your car and receive pre-packed boxes or bags. There's no client choice at this distribution. The pantry is near public transit if you don't have a car.
