Who Can Visit?
Any family in need of food is welcome here, regardless of income. There are no income requirements or eligibility restrictions. Visitors can walk in during open hours without an appointment.
How Often You Can Visit?
Each household may visit the food pantry once per calendar month.
Good to Know
Each visit is designed to give your household a two- to three-day supply of groceries.
The pantry also has "Anytime Shelves" just inside the entrance. These offer free grab-and-go items on a first-come, first-served basis with no intake required. Items on the Anytime Shelves vary daily.
Food & Essentials
The pantry stocks a variety of grocery items that families can choose from during their visit. You'll also find personal care products like toilet paper, hand soap, and hand sanitizer through the personal pantry.
How to Pick Up
This is a client-choice pantry. When you arrive, you'll shop for items yourself and pick what your household needs based on how many people are in your family.
If someone needs to pick up food on behalf of a homebound household member, a current proxy form is required. The household will also need to complete an intake with a staff member.
Additional Support
Families in Polk County who can't visit in person can have food delivered to their home. Call (515) 518-4770 to complete a phone intake and choose a delivery time up to a week in advance.
IMPACT also offers utility assistance (including energy assistance through LIHEAP), housing assistance, and disaster assistance. For help connecting to other resources in the community, call (515) 518-4770 or email info@impactcap.org for Resource Navigation support.
