GCTC Food for Thought Pantry (Urban Metro Campus)
Who Can Visit?
The Food for Thought Pantry is open to current Gateway Community and Technical College students who are enrolled and taking classes, as well as Gateway faculty and staff. All you need is your student or staff ID to access the pantry.
Visits are by appointment only. A one-time registration is required before your first visit, but staff will walk you through it. After that, you'll fill out a quick visit form each time you come. To request items, use the online pantry request form.
How to Register?
Complete your one-time registration with the help of pantry staff. Contact the pantry at (859) 815-7258 if you need assistance getting started.
How Often You Can Visit?
Students can access the pantry for household orders once per week. Grab-N-Go snack options are available up to 2 times per day.
Good to Know
Please note that it may take 24 to 48 hours to fulfill your order after you submit a request. The pantry is meant to supplement other assistance you're already receiving, so staff ask that you be mindful of quantities to make sure all GCTC students who need help can be served. You're also encouraged to connect with community partners to help meet your full range of needs.
Food & Essentials
The pantry provides food for household orders. Grab-N-Go options are also available for a quick snack or drink before, after, or between classes (one snack and one drink per Grab-N-Go visit). The pantry is supplied through partnerships with Freestore Foodbank, Master Provisions, and Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank.
How to Pick Up
The pantry runs on an appointment basis. Place your request using the online pantry request form, then allow 24 to 48 hours for your order to be ready. The Urban Metro Campus pantry is located in the TIE Building on the first floor, near the Information Commons desk. Check in with the Information Commons when you arrive.
Ways to Give
Food donations are accepted at each Gateway campus near the Information Commons desk. Look for the tote with a green lid. You can also make a financial gift to the Gateway Community and Technical College Foundation to support students directly at Donate now.
How to Join the Team?
