St. Herman House - FOCUS Cleveland
Who Can Visit?
St. Herman House - FOCUS Cleveland welcomes anyone in need. All three daily meals are free and open to everyone, with no eligibility requirements. Grocery bag distribution, available during the last five weekdays of each month, is for households with children or other dependents.
Good to Know
Food is served here every single day of the year, including holidays. Sandwiches are also handed out daily at 12:00 to 12:30 PM and again from 6:00 to 6:30 PM, as available. Bag lunches are given out between regular meal times as well. Most of the food comes from donations by local churches, caterers, and volunteers.
Food & Essentials
Three meals are served every day, 365 days a year:
- Breakfast (7:30 to 9:00 AM): coffee, juice, and pastries, with an occasional hot meal.
- Lunch (11:30 AM to 12:00 PM): a full meal.
- Dinner (5:30 to 6:00 PM): a full meal.
About 80% of lunch and dinner are hot meals. Sandwiches are also available daily at 12:00 to 12:30 PM and 6:00 to 6:30 PM. Bag lunches are handed out between meal times.
Grocery bags are distributed during the last five weekdays of each month from 2:00 to 3:00 PM for households with children or dependents.
Every Thursday from 8:30 to 10:00 AM, free produce and other food items are available through a cooler cleanout.
Clothing is given away to men year-round on Mondays and Fridays from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. During cold weather, coats, hats, gloves, and scarves are available daily at 12:00 to 12:30 PM and 6:00 to 6:30 PM.
Hygiene items and toiletry kits are available daily at 12:00 to 12:30 PM and 6:00 to 6:30 PM, and also on Mondays and Fridays from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
How to Pick Up
No sign-up is needed to eat. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the dining room during posted hours. Grocery bags for families with dependents are handed out during the last five weekdays of each month from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Free produce from the Thursday cooler cleanout is available from 8:30 to 10:00 AM.
Additional Support
Case management is available every Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with no appointment needed. A licensed social worker on staff helps people with unemployment, healthcare, housing, substance abuse, mental health, and other needs.
Help getting a government-issued ID is available by dropping in on Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, or by calling 216-961-3806 to schedule an appointment.

Emergency shelter for up to 28 men is also available. To ask about a bed, call 216-961-3806 or stop by between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Facilities
Public restrooms are available 24 hours a day in the driveway.

How to Join the Team?
Volunteers are welcome every day to help serve meals. For lunch, arrive by 11:00 AM (lunch is served at 11:30 AM). For dinner, arrive by 5:00 PM (dinner is served at 5:30 PM). Children are welcome. To schedule a shift, call 216-961-3806 and ask for Roy.
