Who Can Visit?

Anyone is welcome to shop at the Mid-Ohio Market at Bishop Griffin. When you visit, you'll provide the names and birth dates of everyone in your household and self-declare your income. No proof documents are required just to get food.

Items Needed for Registration

If you'd like diapers for a child 3 years old or younger, you'll need to bring proof of the child's name and birth date, such as a birth certificate, insurance card, or medical bill.

How Often You Can Visit?

Households can shop at the Market two times per month. Diapers are available once per month for families with children 3 years old and younger.

Good to Know

Reviewers suggest arriving early because lines can get long, though at least one visitor notes the wait can be over an hour. Another visitor recommends waiting until closer to closing time for a shorter wait. Bring your own bags or boxes, since some items are available in unlimited quantities.

Food & Essentials

The Market offers a wide variety of food including fresh produce, dry goods, and various levels of protein such as meat. Reviewers mention the variety is great and includes many healthy choices. The Community Store also carries clothing, shoes, household items, small toys, and books. Diapers are available once a month for families with children 3 years old and younger, thanks to community partners.

How to Pick Up

The Mid-Ohio Market at Bishop Griffin operates as a self-select market where visitors shop for their own items. The center uses an honor system during your walk-through.

Facilities

The center includes a clothing room where visitors can find free apparel, books, and home decor items.

Ways to Give

The Bishop Griffin Resource Center welcomes both financial donations and in-kind donations of necessities. You can donate money online at the donate page. For in-kind donations, high-need items include men's clothing, shoes, boys' clothing, and household items. Drop off donations during these hours: Tuesday 8:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday 8:00 am to 11:00 am, or Friday 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
