Who Can Visit?

The Mid-Ohio Market at Columbus State (MOM @CState) is open to both Columbus State students and community members. To shop, your household income needs to be less than 200% of the federal poverty level.

How Often You Can Visit?

There's no limit to how many times per month eligible shoppers can visit the Market.

Food & Essentials

The market offers a mix of free, fresh, and shelf-stable food. Each visit, shoppers can choose from whatever food is available that day, which includes a variety of fresh and shelf-stable items.

How to Pick Up

The Mid-Ohio Market offers in-person service every service day. Shoppers can walk through the market and choose the food they want from what's on offer that day. It's a self-select, choice-style pantry.

Currently enrolled Columbus State students can also order a prepackaged Cougar Box instead. The box contains one of everything available in the market that day. To order, book an appointment using your Columbus State student email through the CState Cares Hub Booking Page. When you arrive, check in up front and let staff know you have a Cougar Box ordered — a team member will bring it to you.

Additional Support

Grab & Go snack boxes are available to students at seven campus locations through the Student Advocacy Center, including the Math Department Suite in Davidson Hall, Student Engagement & Belonging in Nestor Hall, Advising Central in Aquinas Hall, Holistic Student Support in Rhodes Hall, the Library in Columbus Hall, and the Testing Center in Workforce Development.

How to Join the Team?

The Mid-Ohio Market is always looking for dedicated volunteers. Anyone can volunteer, whether or not you're affiliated with Columbus State. You may need to lift up to 30 lbs, and shifts run in three-hour blocks. To sign up, visit the volunteer page.

For questions, email midohiomarket@cscc.edu or follow the market on Facebook.
