Greater Groveport Food Pantry serves families who live within the boundaries of the Groveport-Madison School District. Visits are by appointment only, so you'll need to call and schedule before coming in.
How to Order?
Call 614-836-7652 and leave your name and phone number before noon on Tuesday. A volunteer will call you back to collect your family's information and set up an appointment for Thursday distribution.
Items Needed for Registration
Bring a government-issued ID and a copy of a current utility bill every time you visit the pantry.
How Often You Can Visit?
You can visit once every 30 days per household.
Good to Know
Each visit gives your family about 5 days' worth of groceries (approximately 15 meals). You'll have 15 minutes to shop and select your items. If you can't make your appointment, contact the pantry before 6:00 pm on the day of your appointment. Missing that window means you'll need to wait 30 days before you can reschedule.
Food & Essentials
The pantry offers a wide variety of non-perishable groceries along with fresh fruits and vegetables. Shelf-stable items include canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned and boxed potatoes, canned meats and seafood, peanut butter and jelly, crackers, muffin and corn bread mixes, cereals, Jello and puddings, rice, boxed dinners, soups like Progresso and Chunky, mac and cheese, pasta and spaghetti sauce, ramen noodles, boxed and canned desserts, and beverages like tea, coffee, and juice. The pantry also provides paper towels, toilet paper, body soap and personal care items, and cleaning supplies and detergents.
How to Pick Up
Greater Groveport uses a choice pantry system, which means you pick the items you want yourself. Each section of the pantry is set up on a point system based on your family size, so you get to choose what fits your household's needs. A volunteer will walk alongside you to help throughout your shopping time.
Ways to Give
The pantry always needs unexpired non-perishable food donations, especially canned fruit, canned vegetables, crackers, muffin and corn bread mixes, Jello and puddings, Progresso or Chunky soup, ramen noodles, and cleaning supplies. You can drop off donations at the pantry on Thursdays between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. To arrange a different drop-off time, call 614-836-7652 or email ggfoodpantry@yahoo.com. Monetary gifts can be sent via PayPal or mailed to Groveport Food Pantry, P.O. Box 101, Groveport, Ohio 43125.
