Items Needed for Registration

  • Valid government-issued photo ID for yourself
  • Current proof of residence such as a utility bill or lease in your name

How Often You Can Visit?

Households can visit once a month.

Good to Know

You'll get about a four-day supply of food for your family each visit. The pantry hands out numbers starting at 8:15 am, before the 9:00 am opening. To get a number, just line up and give your first name. The pantry gives out roughly 50 numbers and serves about 20 per hour. If numbers are gone when you arrive, you may be asked to come back around 11:00 am. Arriving early is a good idea since this is a busy pantry.

How to Pick Up

Brice Food Pantry uses a client-choice model. Once your number is called, bring your ID inside, get registered, and then use a cart to pick out the food items you need. It's a self-select setup so you can choose what works best for your family.

Ways to Give

There are three ways to support the pantry. You can volunteer your time, donate food, or give financially. For food donations, the pantry welcomes canned fruit or vegetables, cereal, pasta, and other dry goods. You can drop them off on Saturday mornings. Financial gifts to the church designated for the food pantry go further because Brice is a partner agency of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. All donations are tax-exempt. You can give online at the Give to the Food Pantry page or email the food pantry for more information.

How to Join the Team?

The pantry is an all-volunteer ministry and welcomes helpers in several roles: servers, packers, registration workers, and general helpers who stock shelves or carry groceries to clients' cars. To sign up, fill out the volunteer form on the website or download the Volunteer Form PDF. You can also email the Volunteer Coordinator directly.
