Middleburg Heights Food Pantry
Who Can Visit?
The pantry serves residents of Middleburg Heights. If you're not a resident but belong to a Middleburg Heights church, you can still shop here with a voucher from your church office. Emergency shoppers are welcome too, regardless of where you live.
First-time visitors need to bring a few documents on their initial visit to verify eligibility.
Items Needed for Registration
Bring these on your first visit:
- A photo ID for each adult in your household, such as a driver's license, Ohio photo ID, or passport
- A birth certificate or school report card listing the name and address for each child in your household
- Proof of your current address, like a recent utility bill or mortgage statement
- If you're a non-resident qualifying through a church, a voucher from your Middleburg Heights church office (a note from the pastor on church letterhead works too)
Your income also needs to fall within federal and Ohio guidelines. As a member of the Cleveland Foodbank, the pantry asks all shoppers to re-establish their eligibility each July.
Good to Know
The pantry is inside the former Middleburg Heights Middle School. When you arrive, use the driveway on Paula Drive nearest the tennis courts and look for the entry door near the rear of the Sports Center, close to the track.
Food & Essentials
The pantry stocks a large selection of frozen items and non-perishable shelf-stable foods. During the holiday season, special distributions have included free Thanksgiving turkeys.
How to Pick Up
This is a shoppers choice pantry, so you shop like you would at a grocery store. You walk through the space and pick the items your family wants and can use. You don't have to take anything you already have, don't like, or can't eat for health or personal reasons, which keeps food waste down and makes every visit more useful. Volunteers are on hand to help, including assisting you at the frozen food coolers along the back wall.
Ways to Give
The pantry is a 501(c)3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible and you'll receive a receipt. Both money and goods donations are accepted.
You can give money online through PayPal or drop off a check during open hours (Tuesday 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday 5 to 7 p.m.). Goods donations are also welcome during those same hours. Right now the pantry especially needs paper towels and deodorant.

How to Join the Team?
Volunteers help with tasks like assisting shoppers, stocking shelves and freezers, recording donations, and unloading orders from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Shifts run two hours and volunteers should plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. High school and college students looking to fulfill community service hours are welcome.
To get started, email middleburgfoodpantry@gmail.com or call (216) 362-0044.
