Who Can Visit?
The Brashear CARES Food Pantry serves residents living within the 15203, 15210, 15211, and 15227 zip codes. You must be 18 or older and at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
If you're new to the area or have never received food assistance from Brashear, you'll need to register before your first visit.
How to Register?
Call (412) 620-8282 and ask for Will Floyd, the Pantry Manager. Once you register, you'll be eligible to receive food from Brashear on a regular basis.
How Often You Can Visit?
Adult-only households can receive a food distribution once per month. Households with children can visit twice per month.
Food & Essentials
The pantry offers a variety of food staples, including canned goods, shelf-stable items, dairy products, meats, and fresh produce when available. You can also pick up pet food and basic household items like soap and toilet paper.
How to Pick Up
Appointments are required for every visit. Returning clients are encouraged to call at least 2 days before the day they'd like to come in. Call (412) 620-8282 and ask for Will Floyd, the Pantry Manager, to schedule your pickup. The pantry is at 320 Brownsville Road. Use the Ibis Way entrance at the rear of the building.
Additional Support
Brashear also runs a Holiday Assistance Program that provides food, gift cards, and toys to families during the holiday season. Registration opens October 1 and closes October 31 each year. After that date, you may be placed on a waiting list. Follow Brashear's website or social media for updates.
