Who Can Visit?
Micah 6 Food Pantry is open to low-income individuals and families who need help meeting their most essential need: access to food. Clients come from all walks of life, and everyone is welcome. The pantry welcomes all individuals regardless of race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or sexual orientation.
First-time shoppers will be asked to register at their first visit and once each year after that. No appointment is necessary to shop.
How Often You Can Visit?
Clients are welcome to visit once a week during designated shopping times.
Good to Know
Micah 6 of Austin operates the largest free-pick food pantry in Travis County and has been serving hungry folks in Austin for more than 20 years. The pantry is located at the lower level of University Presbyterian Church at 2203 San Antonio St., Austin, TX 78705.

How to Pick Up
Shopping is a walk-in, self-select experience. No appointment is needed. Just show up during open hours. If it's your first time, you'll register when you arrive.
Shopping Hours:
- Thursdays: 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
- Saturdays: 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM
Where to go: Enter through the large white gate just north of the church on San Antonio St.
Ways to Give
You can support Micah 6 by making a financial donation online. They accept one-time, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual gifts. You can also mail a check to:

Another great way to help is by organizing a food drive. Micah 6 welcomes individuals, schools, community groups, and local businesses to collect food donations. To schedule a delivery of collected food, contact the pantry director through the website at micah6austin.org.
How to Join the Team?
More than 60 volunteers help run the pantry each week, and Micah 6 welcomes people from all walks of life to join the team. There are several ways to get involved.
Food Pantry Volunteers:
- Volunteers must be age 10 or older
- Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have a signed permission form
- Open to students, families, faith groups, and individuals
- Advance sign-up is required
Before your first shift, you'll need to wear closed-toe shoes, complete the Volunteer Information Form, review the Volunteer Guidelines, and complete the Limited Civil Rights Training (available in English or Spanish).
Volunteer shifts at the pantry:
- Thursdays: 8:30 to 11:30 AM (Food Delivery Team, ages 18 and up only) or 4:00 to 8:00 PM (Pantry Assistance) or 4:00 to 7:30 PM (Registrar)
- Saturdays: 8:00 AM to noon (Pantry Assistance) or 9:00 to 11:30 AM (Registrar)
