Who Can Visit?

The West Campus Community Fridge + Pantry is open to everyone in the community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You don't need to sign up, register, or show any ID. There are no questions asked. Just come as you are and take what you need.

Good to Know

This fridge is located outdoors behind Pearl Street Co-op at 2000 Pearl St. It's a bit tricky to find the first time, so here are some directions: take MLK to San Gabriel, then take the first right into the alleyway. Take a left in front of the dumpsters and look for a large pink structure in the corner of the lot behind the Pearl Street Co-op building. The fridge is open all day and all night, every day of the year.

This location includes a clothing closet, fridge, and pantry. The fridge does not have a freezer, so frozen goods can't be accepted.

The project is built on mutual aid, not charity. The motto is simple: give what you can, take what you need.

Food & Essentials

The fridge and pantry carry a variety of food and essentials, including fresh produce, prepared meals, canned goods, nonperishable items, snacks, fruits, and veggies. The pantry also welcomes pet supplies, hygiene products, books, socks, and diapers.

Prepared meals that have been contributed are individually portioned and labeled with the date and any common allergens, so you know what you're getting. Many items are designed to be enjoyed cold, since not everyone has access to a microwave or stove.

The fridge does not carry raw meat, frozen food, open food, expired food, or alcohol.

How to Pick Up

Walk up anytime and take what you need. There's no line, no paperwork, and no one checking on you. The fridge and pantry are self-serve.
