Who Can Visit?
Oak Cliff Churches for Emergency Aid (OCCEA) helps people with verified needs, regardless of age, sex, religious belief, or national origin. To receive help, you must live in one of these Oak Cliff zip codes: 75203, 75208, 75211, 75212, 75216, 75224, 75232, 75233, 75236, 75237, 75241, or 75249. The pantry focuses on people with temporary and emergency needs. People with permanent needs are referred to public or private agencies.
Items Needed for Registration
You'll need to bring a current picture ID and proof of your current Oak Cliff address at each visit.
How Often You Can Visit?
Visitors can come once every 3 months.
Good to Know
The pantry asks that you arrive by 11:45AM in order to receive assistance. They also hold a monthly drive-thru distribution on the second Tuesday of the month, starting at 10AM and running until supplies last.
Food & Essentials
OCCEA provides food to help meet the hunger needs of the community, designed as a balanced diet suited to the client's needs.
How to Pick Up
OCCEA holds regular office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10AM to 12 Noon. There is also a monthly drive-thru distribution held on one Tuesday per month at 10AM, which runs until supplies last.
Additional Support
OCCEA offers short-term financial assistance for utilities and medical expenses after screening. Bring your invoice or bill to their office for review. Any financial help is handled by phone or mail directly to your utility service or medical provider on your behalf. They also try to connect people with services for their long-term needs and can refer people to other helping services outside of their service area. Member congregations may also refer people to OCCEA for aid.
