Who Can Visit?
You're welcome to receive food here if you and your family live in zip codes 75217, 75227, or 75253 and meet the income guidelines set by The Emergency Food Assistance Program. New clients must arrive by 10:30 AM to be served.

When you visit for the first time, you'll sign a form at intake to get into the pantry's data system.
How Often You Can Visit?
Clients can come twice a month. The pantry tracks points, so keep an eye on those because they cover the whole month.
Good to Know
New clients must arrive by 10:30 AM to receive services. The pantry is located in the gymnasium of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. The client entrance is on the south side of the gymnasium. There are three parking lots available: one in front of the gymnasium, accessible from Pleasant Drive, and two behind the gymnasium and the church, accessible from Baywood Street.
Food & Essentials
Pleasant Grove Food Pantry offers a wide variety of nutritious food. You'll find dairy products, meats, canned foods, grains, and a variety of other foods. The pantry often has freshly harvested produce, thanks to their friends at Our Saviour Community Garden. On the second Tuesday of each month, Dallas Animal Services is on-site to distribute pet food for anyone in the community who needs it.
How to Pick Up
This is a client-choice food pantry, which means you get to select the foods you want. When you arrive, you'll go through a brief intake process, get a shopping cart, and then shop for the items you'd like to take home.
Additional Support
Every Tuesday, an outreach specialist from North Texas Food Bank is on-site to help community members apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other programs they may be eligible for. This service is open to anyone in the community, not just pantry clients. On Mondays and Tuesdays, various vendors are also on-site with information about community programs, insurance programs, eye exams, dental checkups, and other services in the area.
Ways to Give
You can make a financial donation to Pleasant Grove Food Pantry through North Texas Giving Day at northtexasgivingday.org. Every dollar donated turns into three nutritious meals. You can also donate non-perishable food items, including canned goods, cereal, rice, and other shelf-stable foods. To find out what's currently needed and when to drop off your donation, call (214) 505-1928 or email pleasantgrovefoodpantry@gmail.com. If you'd like to donate in memory of or in honor of someone special, a notification will be mailed to that person.
How to Join the Team?
Volunteers are an important part of what makes Pleasant Grove Food Pantry work. You can help out on Mondays from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Tuesdays from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM, or Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Volunteer parking and entrance is on the Pleasant Drive side of the building. Volunteer duties include greeting neighbors, retrieving shopping carts, intake, stocking shelves, packing boxes, cleaning, unloading trucks, and other tasks.
