Who Can Visit?

Resource Center Health serves the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, and all people affected by HIV. The food pantry and nutrition services are part of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program, which is for people with a diagnosis of HIV who have income at or under 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. All services are provided regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, political affiliation, sexual orientation, or inability to pay.

If you're new to HIV services, your first step is to schedule a Welcome Appointment with one of their eligibility specialists, who will help you figure out what you qualify for. You can book an appointment online at healow.com or call 214-528-0144. Spanish is spoken.

Items Needed for Registration

When you come for your Welcome Appointment, the eligibility team will walk you through what documents to bring. They ask that you review the "Client Intake and Eligibility" information in their library before your visit so you know what to expect.

How Often You Can Visit?

You can visit the food pantry as often as you need. Reviewers share that visits are possible every week, and some clients come in almost every week for food.

Good to Know

The food pantry can provide enough food to last for a whole month or sustain you for a week, depending on your needs. Hot lunch is also served Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM on-site, so you can enjoy a meal when you visit. Staff and volunteers are known for being kind, friendly, and welcoming, and the facility is generally well stocked on open days.

Food & Essentials

The food pantry stocks a variety of grocery items to help you at home. Reviewers mention eggs, milk, fresh vegetables, meats, and bread. The pantry also has sweets and other staple items, and there's often something extra available on each visit.

How to Pick Up

When you come in, staff and volunteers help distribute food and essentials directly to clients. Reviewers describe a well-organized pantry where you can pick up your groceries.
