Summit Food Pantry is open to anyone in the community who needs food. It's run by Summit Church and is licensed through the San Antonio Food Bank.
The pantry uses a drive-up format, and the line of vehicles typically moves quickly. A volunteer will come to your car to get the information they need before bringing food out to you. The food is high quality, and visitors can expect to find organic produce in their bags.
The pantry receives donations from Sprouts and local donors. Each bag includes a variety of organic produce and often a sweet treat as well. Hygiene products are also made available to visitors. During the holiday season, Summit has included traditional Thanksgiving fixings and HEB gift cards so families can pick up a turkey.
Distribution is drive-up style. Pull into the line of vehicles on the west side of the main building and a volunteer will come to your car to collect your information and hand you your food.
Hope's Closet is a free clothing pantry located alongside the food pantry on the west side of the main building. Free clothing is available to anyone in need.
