NTX Community Food Pantry
Who Can Visit?
NTX Community Food Pantry serves residents of The Colony, Frisco, Little Elm, Carrollton, and Lewisville who are experiencing food insecurity. If you need food assistance, you're welcome to stop by during any of their open pantry days.
Items Needed for Registration
When you come for the first time, please bring a photo ID and proof of residency, such as a utility bill or car insurance. You'll also need to fill out a pantry form with your address, date of birth, monthly income, phone number, and the names and dates of birth of everyone in your household.
How Often You Can Visit?
Guests are welcome to visit up to twice a month.
Good to Know
The pantry offers a client-choice shopping experience, so a volunteer will walk you through each aisle and explain how many items you can pick from each section based on your family size. Visitors receive a variety of food including bread, eggs, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, milk, canned goods, peanut butter, and poultry. Some reviewers have noted that food quality can vary, so checking items before leaving is a good idea. The staff and volunteers are described by many guests as warm, compassionate, and genuinely caring.
Food & Essentials
NTX Community Food Pantry provides a wide variety of food items. Visitors have received bread, a dozen or 18-count eggs, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, a gallon of milk, canned goods, peanut butter, poultry, and frozen chicken. The pantry also offers salad, meats, and desserts, and reviewers describe "a big variety of items" available each visit.
How to Pick Up
The pantry uses a client-choice model where you shop the shelves yourself with help from a volunteer. A volunteer will guide you through each aisle and let you know how many items you can select from each section based on your household size. Staff and volunteers are available throughout to help you understand what's available.
Additional Support
Beyond food, the pantry also offers job listings for people out of work and information about other community resources. Volunteer drivers are available to deliver food to homebound individuals who cannot come to the pantry in person. If you have access to a vehicle and would like to help with deliveries, you can email the pantry to sign up as a pickup volunteer driver.
