The Community Feed at Jordan-Newby is open to anyone who needs food. You just need to sign up for a card when you visit for the first time.

Visitors get to choose from a wide variety of food. Most items are fresh, though some fruits and vegetables may occasionally be older. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the experience is described as comfortable and enjoyable.
The pantry offers a large selection of food to choose from, including fresh produce like fruits and vegetables, canned goods, and at least one meat item per visit.
The Community Feed at Jordan-Newby is a client-choice pantry where you shop for your own items. You sign up for a card and then pick the food you want from what's available.
The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia offers SNAP assistance to help people apply for food benefits. On the 4th Tuesday of each month (12:30–3:30pm), a SNAP access event is held at this location. You can also mail a check to 800 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, VA 23504. Monetary gifts, recurring monthly donations, stocks, cryptocurrency, and planned giving are all accepted.
