Crossroads Community Church Blessing Box
Who Can Visit?
This is a Little Free Pantry that anyone can visit at any time. There's no sign-up, no registration, and no questions asked. Just stop by the box at the back-left corner of Crossroads Community Church, along the side road's sidewalk next to the utility pole, and take what you need.
Good to Know
The box is outdoors and unattended, so what's inside can change from day to day. In very cold weather (below freezing) or when temperatures reach 85°F or above, canned goods may not be stocked because extreme temperatures can make them unsafe.
Food & Essentials
The box usually has a mix of pantry staples and basic necessities. You'll typically find canned goods like vegetables, beans, and soups, along with boxed meals such as mac and cheese and dry snacks. Personal care items and household supplies are sometimes included as well.
Ways to Give
You can donate items by placing them directly inside the box. Good donations include dry foods like rice, dried beans, pasta, and pancake mix; snacks like crackers, granola bars, cereal, and instant oatmeal packets; nut butters and individually packaged items like fruit cups and snack mixes; personal care products such as shampoo, soap, new toothbrushes, deodorant, and feminine care items (keep soap and shampoo separate from food); laundry soap, toilet paper, and baby supplies; and hats, gloves, and scarves.
Only donate items in their original, sealed, and undamaged packaging. Canned goods in metal cans are safe to leave when outdoor temperatures are between 34°F and 85°F. Don't donate canned foods during freezing winter temperatures or when the day's high is expected to reach 85°F or above. Avoid fresh produce, perishable foods, glass containers (including home-canned foods), and any opened or damaged items.
