YMCA of Greater Boston - Eastie Farm Mobile Market - Food Pantry
Who Can Visit?
Everyone is welcome at the YMCA of Greater Boston Mobile Market. The market is open to the public — you don't need to show ID or sign up ahead of time. Just show up during the market hours at this location.
Good to Know
Food is free and goes quickly, so arriving early gives you the best selection. Signs at the truck show how much of each item you can take (for example, "Apples (5)" means you may take up to five apples). Each person may shop once per market visit. Please bring your own reusable bag. Two shoppers are allowed at the truck at a time, so you'll wait in line for your turn. Markets may be cancelled due to bad weather. Check the live schedule at ymcaboston.org/mobilemarket before heading out. A printable schedule is also available at ymcaboston.org.
Food & Essentials
The Mobile Market provides free fresh produce and shelf-stable pantry items such as canned goods and boxed foods at no cost.
How to Pick Up
This is a mobile market — a food truck that pulls up to the location for the posted time window or until the food runs out. Once it's your turn, you choose your own items from what's available. Signs display item limits for each product.
Additional Support
The YMCA offers SNAP outreach and enrollment help. If you'd like to know whether you qualify for SNAP food benefits or need help recertifying, email snap@ymcaboston.org or call or text (857) 291-2927. The YMCA also runs a SNAP-Ed program that includes nutrition and physical activity education for SNAP participants.
Ways to Give
You can support the YMCA's hunger prevention programs with a financial donation at give.ymcaboston.org. For questions about donations, email astrack@ymcaboston.org.
How to Join the Team?
Volunteers are welcome to help run the Mobile Market. Sign up through the VolunteerMatters project catalog. You'll need to sign a YMCA Waiver and show a photo ID for a background check. Ongoing volunteers may also need a CORI/SORI check.
