Who Can Visit?

Anyone in need is welcome to visit the pantry. Catholic Charities serves everyone regardless of age, race, religion, or creed. You'll need to be a registered client and meet a few documentation requirements to receive food.

Items Needed for Registration

Before your first visit, make sure you bring:

  • A valid government-issued ID
  • A Clarity Card (if you don't have one, pantry staff can help you get one)
  • Proof of your current address dated within the last 30 days, such as a rent receipt or utility bill
  • Birth certificates for any children you're applying for

These documents help the pantry make sure they have enough resources for everyone who needs them. If you have a Nevada ID, you may also receive additional USDA items.

How Often You Can Visit?

You can visit the pantry once every 30 days. Reviewers suggest going earlier in the month for a better selection.

Good to Know

  • The pantry is open Monday through Friday and on the last Saturday of each month
  • Pedestrians should use the entrance at 1504 North Main Street
  • Drivers should use the 1501 Las Vegas Blvd North entrance
  • Service dogs are welcome
  • It's a good idea to check dates on frozen meat and canned goods when you receive them
  • If you're running into trouble getting a callback or appointment, try calling the main number directly

Food and Essentials

The pantry is set up like a small grocery store where you push a cart and choose what you want. You can typically expect:

  • Up to 5 lbs of shelf items (canned goods, pasta, cereals, etc.)
  • Up to 10 to 15 lbs of fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Frozen meat options (usually 1 to 2 items)
  • Bread and baked goods
  • One dessert item
  • A bag of canned goods to take home

Available items vary by visit, so selection may differ each time you come. Fresh produce, baked goods, and other essentials are offered when available.
